The Master of Science in Exercise Science program is designed to advance the skills and knowledge of current and future exercise science professionals. As a student, you’ll take a scientific core of courses that provide a complete understanding of how exercise impacts human physiology. After completing the core, you can choose one of three concentrations to develop practical knowledge:
Strength and Conditioning: This concentration gives students the necessary tools to become professionals in strength and conditioning, personal training, or sports performance. From learning advanced exercise assessment and prescription to mastering coaching methodologies and dietary analysis—students gain knowledge that will set them on a path to success!
Fitness Leadership: This concentration equips students with the essential business and leadership skills to lead a successful career in fitness. It provides specialized instruction on topics such as marketing, administration, customer service, and program design for managing profitable operations in the fast-growing world of health & wellness.
Corporate, Clinical, and Community Wellness: This concentration equips students with the essential skills for successful healthcare careers. Learners can gain expertise in exercise testing, face-to-face client interactions and health behavior change to help individuals live healthy lives within hospitals, rehabilitation clinics or corporate wellness programs.
