As a member of the Lionel University community, it is with deep sadness that we must announce the senseless murder of our Senior Career Services Advisor, Liz Thomas. Liz was a beloved member of our staff, and her loss has left a profound impact on our entire community.

Liz was a dedicated professional who worked tirelessly to support Lionel's students and alumni in their career aspirations. She was known for her passion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to helping students achieve their goals. Whether she was conducting a mock interview, reviewing a resume, or providing advice on job search strategies, Liz always went above and beyond to ensure that our students were well-prepared for their future careers.

Her colleagues and students alike remember her as a warm and supportive presence, always willing to lend an ear and offer guidance. She had a talent for building relationships with students and helping them find their paths in life. Liz had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued, and her impact on our community will not be forgotten.

We are deeply saddened by her untimely passing and offer our condolences to her family and loved ones. Liz's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched during her time at Lionel University.

In her honor, we will be setting up the Liz's Legacy Memorial Scholarship to honor her memory. This scholarship will provide assistance to those who have been affected by domestic violence and wish to pursue their education in Exercise Science, or careers in fields that Liz was passionate about.

Furthermore, for every dollar contributed to support Liz's Family on their gofundme page, Lionel University will match it with Scholarship Dollars for the Liz's Legacy Memorial Scholarship. We feel that this is a befitting way to commemorate Liz's life, as she was devoted to helping others fulfill their aspirations.
